McAfee AVERT Stinger is a tool that detects and removes a variety of viruses and variations.

It is not a full-featured antivirus that safeguards your computer, but rather a useful tool for analysing one or more computers when they are suspected or known to be infected.

Real Protect, a real-time behaviour detection solution that monitors suspicious behaviour on an endpoint, is now included in Stinger. Real Protect detects zero-day malware in real time using machine learning and automatic behavioral-based classification in the cloud.
