Microsoft Excel Viewer

The Microsoft Excel Viewer, which replaced the Excel 97 Viewer in 2008, allows users to open, display, copy data, and even print Excel documents without having to instal the Office kit.

Users who do not have the Microsoft Office installed can use Microsoft Excel Viewer to open, display, copy, and print Excel documents. Microsoft has already stated that distribution of this most recent version will cease in April 2018.

The programme works with Windows operating systems starting with Windows Server 2003 and Mac OS X versions 2.2 and up. It is not mandatory to have Office or a 64-bit architecture, but the software is linked to Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, so these two browsers must be enabled in either the Windows or Apple operating systems.

The Excel workbook viewer is available in all languages where the Microsoft Office suite and Windows operating system are available. The viewer also supports all Excel file formats, from.xls to.xlw, both old and new.

The viewer source files can be downloaded and installed without fear of being infected. Since it is a Microsoft application, it does not require ads or the installation of third-party applications, preventing Spyware and Malware. The user must have their own antivirus in order to access the files.

The viewer is free for computers running Windows Server 2003, XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10, and it is not needed if you have Office 365 (paid package).
