WavePad is a fascinating application that allows you to do a variety of things with your sound files. You can freely copy, cut, and change an audio sequence with it.

Working with files is greatly facilitated by the visual representation of the sound wave. Amplify, normalise, equalise, reverb, echo, fade in and fade out, envelope, noise reduction, and other transformations are available.

It also gives you three options for changing the speed and pitch of an audio stream.

It’s a tone generator and a voice synthesiser (or ‘text-to-word’). In addition, this software allows you to build action batteries to make working with several files easier.

WAV, MP3, WMA, VOX, GSM, AU, RM, and other formats are supported. Finally, it supports samples with frequencies ranging from 6000 to 96000Hz, stereo or mono, and bit depths of 8, 16, or 32 bits.
